How can I be involved?
If you feel that more needs to be done to help people with acquired brain injury then we agree with you! We need people like you who are willing to use their time and energy in a bid to change things for the better. Some ideas as to how you can do this:
- Come along to our regular network meetings and meet with other interested professionals, carers and service users. See the calendar for when and where we meet.
- Go along to your local Headway group and meet others affected by ABI. Talk to the leaders and get involved with local or national Headway.
- Start your own group locally. We can help you with this, contact Mark Searle at abicoordinator@tiscali.co.uk
- Write to your MP. We need politicians to get involved and help champion our cause. Find your MP via the BBC website.
- Get involved with the NHS through their patient and public involvement programme (PPI)
If you have any time to give and don’t know how to use it, call us to discuss how you can help. We need your help…
